Using modern technical methods, sound spectra can be manipulated in a variety of ways to produce positive effects. AMK combines familiar sound patterns and harmonies with precisely tuned harmonic spectra. These auditory stimuli trigger brain activity in a specific way. Acupuncture with Sounds (AMK) It is based on the findings of modern brain research and incorporates new and effective methods of sound processing and application, impacting processing mechanisms in the brain and physical well-being. The method was developed by Dr. Klaus Berndsen at Institute for Special Systemic Therapy (ISST) Developed in Unna, it has been successfully used there for many years.

AMK can be used as a complementary therapy in many cases. The treatment of tinnitus focuses on the ear and its transmission via the... vestibulocochlear nerve to confront the central auditory center with high-frequency sound impressions and to contribute to the formation of new or the correction of established sound patterns.

In cases of severe hearing impairment, we recommend individually tailored hearing therapy. At ISST-Unna, the hearing ability of those affected is measured in detail, and – based on the hearing results – customized hearing therapy materials are created.

Here's how it's done:

• Listening to CDs at very low volume!
• Due to the special form of sound processing, noise or the impression of limited sound richness may occur.
• Copying to other sound carriers, such as music cassettes, or converting to lossy digital formats like MP3, significantly limits or even eliminates the potential effects.
• The respective processing intensity is indicated by the labels provided.

Application recommendation:

Duration of CD application: At least 4 weeks, 30 to 60 minutes daily.
Use over several months is recommended. Effective transmission is only possible via high-quality CD players and shielded headphones with a wide transmission frequency spectrum!

No risks are known from the field of music therapy or the application of processed sound spectra of this type. In the unlikely event that irritation occurs, it is recommended to reduce the frequency of use.
