Mindura Equinox L-Tryptophan

Food supplement with L-tryptophan.

Product description

The feel-good amino acid: L-tryptophan

There is a reason why L-tryptophan is called the feel-good amino acid. Your body cannot produce this essential amino acid itself, which is why an adequate intake through your diet is necessary. L-tryptophan is found mainly in protein-rich foods. Incidentally, this substance is also responsible for the widespread belief that chocolate improves mood.

L-tryptophan performs important functions in your body. It serves as the starting material for the formation of the happiness hormone serotonin. In addition, this amino acid acts as a precursor to melatonin, often referred to as the sleep hormone.

  • L-tryptophan is a starting material for serotonin and melatonin. To convert L-tryptophan into serotonin, your body needs vitamins B1 and B6 as cofactors.

L-tryptophan is also known as the feel-good amino acid. Your body depends on your help here, because it cannot produce this important building block itself. L-tryptophan is found mainly in protein-rich foods. Incidentally, this substance is the reason for the belief that chocolate makes you happy.

The amino acid plays an important role in your body, which uses it to produce the happiness hormone serotonin. The amino acid is also the precursor of melatonin, often referred to as the sleep hormone.

Low serotonin/melatonin levels are characteristic of depressive moods and sleep disorders. Vitamins B1 and B6 are required for serotonin synthesis.

Mindura® Equinox - What is L-tryptophan?

  • L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid that the body cannot produce itself and must therefore obtain through food. Scientific studies support the following aspects:
  • L-tryptophan is a natural precursor of the neurotransmitter serotonin and the hormone melatonin in the body.
  • The normal conversion of L-tryptophan to serotonin requires sufficient amounts of vitamins B6 and B3 (niacin) as well as magnesium as cofactors.
  • L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid that the body cannot produce itself.
  • L-tryptophan is the starting material for the body's own melatonin.
  • L-tryptophan occurs naturally in protein-rich foods such as dairy products, eggs, pulses, nuts and seeds.
  • As a building block of protein, L-tryptophan is involved in muscle metabolism.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is L-tryptophan?

L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid that the body cannot produce itself and must therefore obtain from food. It serves as a precursor to the neurotransmitter serotonin and the hormone melatonin in the body.

What is L-tryptophan good for?

L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid and the starting material for serotonin and melatonin. As a building block of protein, it is involved in muscle metabolism.

Can I still drive after taking it?
