Acoustic therapy - stimulation for the brain and organism

With the help of modern technical methods, sound spectra can be influenced in a variety of ways so that they have positive effects. In AMK, familiar sound patterns and familiar harmonies are combined with differentiated harmonic spectra. Hearing stimulation stimulates brain activity in a special way. These effects have a positive influence on numerous functions of the human organism.

Acupedia with sounds (AMK) is based on the results of modern brain research and includes new and effective ways of processing and applying sound with effects on processing mechanisms in the brain and physical well-being. The method was developed by Dr. Klaus Berndsen on Institute for Special Systemic Therapy (ISST) in Unna and has been used successfully there for many years.

Audio CD for therapeutic applications includes:

The audio CD Acupedia with sounds has been developed for a wide range of users and is used for numerous symptoms as pre-, accompanying and post-treatment:

In many cases, AMK can be used as a complementary therapy method. The treatment of tinnitus involves the hearing aids being transmitted via the ear and the Vestibulocochlear nerve to confront the central auditory center with high-frequency sound impressions and to contribute to the formation of new or the correction of established sound patterns.

In cases of severe impairment, we recommend individualized hearing therapy. At ISST-Unna, the hearing ability of those affected is measured in detail and – based on the hearing results – customized hearing therapy material is created.

How to do it:

• Listening to CDs at very low volume!
• Due to the special form of sound processing, noise impressions or the impression of limited sound fullness can arise.
• By copying to other sound carriers, such as music cassettes, or by converting to lossy digital formats such as MP3, the effects are significantly limited or even eliminated.
• The respective processing intensity is indicated by the labels provided.

Recommended use:

Duration of CD application: At least 4 weeks, 30 to 60 minutes daily.
Application over several months is recommended. Effective transmission is only possible via high-quality CD players and shielded headphones with a wide transmission frequency spectrum!

Risks and side effects:

There are no known risks associated with music therapy or the use of processed sound spectra of this type. In the unlikely event that irritation occurs, it is recommended that use be reduced.
